"What has happened to you?!" I shouted. My voice got softer as I said, "You weren't like this." He looked taken back by my outburst but then anger came into sight. " No. I wasn't like this. You think I chose to be made into what I am? You think I want to be like this?! They turned me into this." his voice was firm but held lots of resentment. "Who are they!" I asked desperately. He hasn't told me anything. His angry expression changed into sadness. " I can't tell you... I wish I could, I really do but.. they would know." I began to walk and I could already hear him follow me. He grabbed my arm bringing me to a stop. " Anabelle Please.." he silently begged. I couldn't look into his blue eyes and not melt. I haven't seen him in 5 years and my body was betraying me. He inched closer so our faces were almost touching. His lips were so close.... too close that it didn't let me think straight. I was about to pull back when his lips crashed on mine making the fireworks go off one by one throughout me. I couldn't retrieve now, not when he makes me feel like this. Someone's voice interrupted us. "Well. Well. Well. So you are the infamous.... Anabelle." the man's voice was deep and intimidating. In a second I could feel Jace tense up next to me. He froze. Quickly gaining his composure he turned to the man and said, " Steven. What are you doing here?" Jace's voice was calm. Steven smirked and replied, " I could ask you the same thing." he gave Jace a look and then he turned to me, "It was a pleasure to meet you... but this introduction will have to be longer than expected." just as he finished his sentence Jace held me closer to him. "No!" he growled. Steven seemed unfazed and simply answered " Yes." before I know what is happening... everything turns black.
