Lloyd stared into my eyes with depth and carelessly shrugged, “I’m not an innocent man Rosa, I’ve killed without remorse and have strangled children with my bare hands. My acts can’t be justified.” He lowered his head towards my ear and in a secretive tone confessed, “I’ll be honest with you about something though, I get what I want and right now I want you. You have enraptured me from the time I met you, furthermore, I’m obsessively infatuated with you. I know you’ll run, but there’s only so far you can go. The chase has already begun and in matter of time, I’ll have you in my grasps!” His shameless words rang loudly with clarity in my mind and when the surgeons placed the aesthetic mask onto my face, the tangible horror of my reality sunk in.
