What happens when telling the truth wasn't an option?

And that lie that's kept hidden would have its cost.

A cost that once it's complete not even the truth of a lie can save you, it will break you, it will take away the only light that guides you through the dark and all your left in is darkness.

The truth will set you free only if it doesn't kill you first.
