Rayven has dedicated her life to helping those around her. That's just how she has always been. Growing up,she had it rough. Her parents where both killed by a drunk driver one evening when she was just a timid little girl. She was later placed in Foster care where she was abused mentally and physically. No matter what was thrown her way, she could always find the positive in things. She became a social worker so that she could become an advocate for children, giving them a voice, and she's quite successful at it. In school she was taught to never become too involved in her clients' lives but that's not always an easy task. What happens when she finds herself in love with her client's father? Jahiem is a single father trying to make an honest living to provide his son with shelter, but it's not good enough. With only a high school education, that task has proven to be difficult. He just can't seem to catch a break. First they're kick out on the streets and now the courts are trying to pry his son away from him because he was deemed unfit. Lost and tired of fighting everybody about everything, he ready to give up. With his back against the wall he's running out of options.
