Chapter 1 - Touring the Castle

After a being attacked as a child, Anna Trenton discovers that vampires can't physically harm her. This makes her a fun target for a trio of vamps that takes pride in making her miserable, finally going so far as to kill her family. Feeling the guilt of her family's death, Anna realizes that they will never leave her alone to live a normal life. So after her 18th birthday, she flies to Italy to pay a visit to the Volturi, hoping that they can help somehow. Upon arriving however, she quickly discovers that the Volturi's leaders have a different plan in mind for her.
