"I paid you a visit," The man stated. "Because I need your help."

"Think before you act, Kerrigan," He lowered his voice.

"Give me a decent reason."

The man didn't faze at her rude request. He responded with a serious look. "Because you need help from me too."

"Huh?"

Samantha Kerrigan didn't expect to find a girl sitting in front of her apartment at a stormy night. She didn't expect herself to befriend Cassie---which was apparently the girl's name. Most of all, Samantha didn't expect her new friend to run away, leaving a bundle of troubles behind and an annoying detective for her to deal with.
