Prologue

Black and white, not a color in the mix. Artwork littered his toned body they seemed to tell the story of his life. He was one smile away from falling apart. The secrets he hid threatened to destroy him, and anyone who got too close. The delicate instrument tuned precisely held the same addicting allure that the man holding it did. I hadn't meant to fall under his spell or believe his lies, but upon the first time he ran his needle across my skin, creating the first of many intimate moments, I knew it was a lost cause to try to avoid the only person who had ever made me feel like my past didn't define me. We were both broken, it was just a matter of time before our pasts caught up to us, sparking a continuously growing flame that threatened to burn everything in its path.
