Description
Dre is a young man living in rural Jamaica who meets Saf an older girl in the same district. They have a tumultuous relationship that almost cost Saf her sanity and her life. Some relationships are like glass its better to leave them broken than to hurt yourself trying to put the pieces back together again. When you start reading the Bunna Man, most of my readers hate Dre and then they realize that Dre doesn't really have any power. The only power he has is the one Saf gave him. What happens now is that by you reach the middle of the story, your anger turns from Dre to Saf cause you realize that Saf is the catalyst behind her own misery. If she'd leave Dre alone. Her suffering would end. Remember Jerr dissed her in the Jacket Book, This is her transition, she's growing up and don't give up on her just yet, you gonna see how she evolves by the book ends. You see the most important lesson here is that if you don't change how you are percieved, come what nigga may, You gonna end up in the same traps again, different nigga same story, remember Jerr dissed her cause she never have nothing so she work hard fe get something and end up deh wid a nigga that only want what she achieved, this dude wouldn't even look at her when she never have nothing. In hindsight she realized that Jerr is far better nigga than this bwoy here. Jerr no perfect and yes him diss her in past but him grow to love and respect her... Him fight for her and he would take her back in heart beat...Look out for Jerr's chapter (excerpts). You will understand how Saf's apparent stupidity highlights the moral fabric of the other characters... Don't worry, Saf is growing up, Shes just twenty two in this book here and She's gonna hurt Dre, the only way she knows how and she nah take back Jerr either. She is going to understand that if she don't stand for nothing, she fall for everything and she rather wait for the right man even if him don't exist that shack up with any of these deadbeats again.
