When Simon Breck's former detective partner, Edgar Moore dies whilst on the job, Simon begins a downward spiral, full of alcohol and depression. However, a new partner, Mark Winnow is assigned to team up with Simon, and much to Simon's distaste, Mark forces his way into Simon's life. Can Simon ever learn to befriend again, after the tragedy of Edgar's death?
