Vanessa has never fit in anywhere, so when she gets offered a place in an organization whose name has been appearing in her dreams, she automatically takes it. Just one thing: She has to change her name to parody that of a great villain. Vlad the Impaler seemed good, so, now, she's Val. The leader's name is Hyde, and he teaches Val that, despite general consensus, evil can be fun.
