Chapter 1

In the ruins of a place once known as Canada lies the nation of Panda, a perfect Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is despicable and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl to participate in the annual Derp Games, a 3-round competition on live television. 15-year-old Dogpiss Limabean regards it as humiliation when she steps forward to take her sister, Plum's, place in the Games. Without really meaning to, she volunteers. Along the way she reconnects with Peewee, and meets a bunch of different Capitol people. Can Dogpiss win the Derp Games?
