preface

My eyes trace the lines of the open walls of the abandoned house, my hands resting on my lips trying to suppress a sob. Tears cascade down my face, falling silently onto the bloody floor. Three bodies lay on the tiled floor in front of me, each with a different number of stab wounds injected into their chests. The hands that are clasped firmly around my arms haul me back, pulling me away from the bodies. My knees pray to give way, but my abductor thinks otherwise. A sharp pain shoots through my left cheek as he shouts at me to walk, but the words only meet my ears as a whisper. My body trembles as tears fall freely down my bloody, bruised cheek. Everything became a blur as I stared at my family, dead on the floor, not allowing my eyes to see anything else, focus on anything else. Everything then became silent, as my head collided with the tile floor, my body finally giving out. The darkness slowly calling my name until.... Nothing.
