Echo Leigh has only wanted one thing. Freedom. Violence is all she knows. From taking multiple hits from her father, to eating scraps from her mother. What else was she supposed to do? Where else was she supposed to go? Someone with that much shit has to have some kind of outlet, right? Of course since violence is all she knows, she doesn't mind throwing a few punches with neighboring schools of Princeton High. Fighting isn't all there is to her though, she has her own secret talents that only a few people know. Being alone is how Echo prefers it. Less work to worry about others, when she can barely worry about herself. But what happens when someone new but familiar comes to town? Even more surprising, what happens when Echo is offered her chance at freedom, only to be trapped again? Trever Lakewood has only wanted one thing. Freedom. Ever since he could remember he's been hiding his talent from his parents for a long time, because they have great expectations from him. Expectations he just can't seem to get away from. Someone with that much weight on his shoulder needs some kind of outlet right? Trever is always down to have a good fight. A punch here and there never hurt, especially when he was fighting for those he cared about. Trever's been gone for the last two years, his parents thinking he needs to 'shape' up his attitude, after the incident. Little do they know, Trever hasn't stopped with the fights. If anything, it's only made him a better fighter in the last two years. So what happens when he comes back to Princeton High to be reunited with the only friends he's ever cared about, and a new face who calls herself an acquaintance with these friends? And what happens when Trever is offered his chance at freedom, but at the price of his heart? Can these two find the freedom they so desperately strive for? Or will they become trapped in their own prison they've made for themselves?
