It's not a joke, and should never be taken as one. PTSD can leave a veteran distraught, confused, scared, and even unaware of his real surroundings. It's symptoms range in a wide array from night terrors, to full out flash back hallucinations and violent acts to defend themselves from such. PTSD changes our men and women coming back from the service, so those of you with loved ones in active service. REMEMBER; they may not be the same person when they come back. This story is about a Marine who falls in love before his deployment and purposes for marriage, only to leave and find out that his fiancée is pregnant, and wind up witnessing all of his fellow combat buddies die in tragic direct fire. When in fact he does return home his child has been born, and is nearly ten years old. But this Marine is a changed man, and he's dealing with PTSD without proper help. . . .
