Chapter 1

I rested my head against her heart, hearing her heartbeat synchronize with the waves crashing onto the shore. I could smell the salt in her hair and feel the day's last rays of sun warm her skin. It was in that moment of complete bliss that I realized for as much as she belonged to the sea, she also belonged with me.
