Prologue

Beep! Beep! Beep!

I jerked up, then coughed loudly. I stared at my surroundings. then saw that I was in a pristine, clinical white room surrounded by machines.

Was I in heaven? I thought, then smirked. How cliché. Everybody says that when they wake up in the hospital.
