Surrounded in burning rubble, I hid and watched as their lives became singed ashes on the floor, leaving their daughter behind to burn. Since then, I have escaped. Since then, I’ve worked alone. But one day, I stumbled across a crying girl, frightened and alone with hair as dark as the night. Hand in hand we forged our future, alone, fighting against the Affinities. Bit by bit our group has grown, and now there are four of us: Myself, the girl, and two others, both boys willing to fight and die beside us. We’d pick up stray people, ones who had been hurt and abandoned like ourselves, and guide them to a better, more care-free world. But our latest member has caused a rift to grow between our group, and I definitely don’t trust her. But yet, with the end nearing in this dystopian world, with a looming threat hanging over our all our heads, we cannot fight alone.
