Description

Unbeknownst to the curse given to Alice upon being born thousands of years ago to hide her identity before she is transported through time and placed among humans. Despite her parents' best efforts to keep Alice safe, she inevitably crosses paths with danger when she and Anna are attacked by bloodsuckers, resulting in Alice's first time transforming into a banshee. Kane, who's searching for a blood source powerful enough to create hybrids, is the ruthless king of a dying breed that has been mostly wiped out by the slayers, and Alice, whose true identity is masked by a curse, is the key to everything. Once Kane, hears about Alice's secret, he's determined to capture her and use her blood to create unstoppable hybrids. He orders a second attack, not expecting Tate, a newly transferred student at Hawthorne High, to interfere. When the girls decide to skip the rest of the first day back, they're attacked in the woods behind their school. Anna is kidnapped after being mistaken for Alice, as a result of Tate's interference, and inevitably falls for Prince Alexander, brother of Kane. While their relationship blossomed, so did Alice and Tate's as she grieved the loss of her friend she assumed was dead until anonymously receiving photos of Anna being held prisoner. This newfound power of hers, along with the unbreakable bond she shares with Anna, simply wouldn't allow her to run away and hide. She was not about to go down without a fight. With the help of Tate and his reluctant grandmother, both descendants of a bloodline of pure-blood witches, Alice is determined to save Anna from the clutches of the bloodsuckers. Even if it means she must sacrifice herself or take Anna's place.
