I was the one to go against the grain and stand out in a crowd. I had to in a school full of talented students. But what I didn't know was that I had broke the 'Code of Honor' doing so. A code made by a bunch of people who can no longer do an arabesque without popping their hip out of place. Since I broke that 'Code of Honor' too many times, I was expelled. "I cannot have your 'kind' pollute the 'purity' of their talent." Five years later and I still haven't forgetten what Quincy Alexander said to me. And just that one sentence has fueled me to work harder and be the best.
