Britain, 1917

It's 1917, and Anthony MacRae, a young conscientious objector, knows that he is about to be arrested. As he walks around the house he grew up in for what he is sure will be the last time, he reflects on the time he has spent in his home town, and how the outbreak of war has re-shaped it forever.
