Prologue

"Al, please don't do this." He pleaded. Only for her to raise the bow higher.

"I'm not the same girl you once knew." She whispered.

"Al, if you go through with this..." He stopped trying to catch his breath. "I can't save you."

Gradually her fingers released the arrow. It danced through the air like a spinning sphere, swiftly piercing his right thigh. "Don't hold back."
