Cut palms squeezed together, blood dripping into the black ink inside five butterfly lockets hung on chains that will soon hang around our necks next to our ice cold hearts. We are sisters. Black blood sisters. Black blood butterflies. Our enemies spread far and wide, from both sides of the law. The police, FBI. Criminals, evil masterminds. We could take over the world, and eventually that's just what we will do. But for the moment we work on secrets destroying anything that is fragile and weak, including people who have buckled to the wrong side. People who have crossed our paths.
