Besha made a promise to her dying mother to find the brother she had never met. When she was forced to leave sooner than planned, she had no currency to pay for transport to the village where Tran lived.
Her only choice was to hike, and to reach the village she had to cross the Whispering Forest. It was rumoured to be protected by a beast who lured people into the forest with magic.
Besha decided to try her luck, but the beast turned out to be an unexpected surprise, in many ways.
