Rival groups of scientists compete create an experiment that brings the dead back to life. Phoenix Firenza is the first unlucky soul to be brought back. Things go great, until a horrifying accident that traumatizes Phoenix. She becomes distant and acts like a robot. Until, she realizes that strange things are occurring. The scientists start the experiment again. New scientists come, and Phoenix meets a new scientist's son, who takes a interest in her. New experiments come, and one of them also takes an interest in her too. But Phoenix has no time for love when the nightmares of her past haunt her like a shadow.
