Description
We were driving into LAX from my small town of Anderson. All in California, such a boring state. Everyone I talk to out of state complain and talk about how lucky I am to be here. Bull. Shit. I would much rather to live in New York, but who has money to pay for that? It's ridiculous. Before I continue to explain my journey, I'll introduce myself. My name is Aine Bostwick. Probably the most terrifying name of 2015. But I am 18 years old, and I am being accompanied by my best friend Kali. She's a gorgeous dark skinned African girl, hence the name. While I'm not as dark as her, I still have a nice bronze, and fiery red hair. And my light green eyes that people "swoon" over. Kali and I have been friends since we were babies. We've always had this unspoken bond that I've never had with any other person. We spend 24/7 together and sometimes I feel like that ruins my relationships with men. No, I am not a lesbian, but whenever I'm with her, I'm nonexistent to men. I mean, I love her, but I have needs that need to be met. Any how, the drive was horrendous. We were blasting all types of music because why not, we had 8 hours of driving on our hands. We made the horrible decision of stopping to get Taco Bell, and the having to deal with the consequences of Kali's weak stomach. After all 8 hours, the unbearable smells, and breath taking sceneries, we finally made it. Everything was so different! The people, the trees, the little candy shop sitting on the corner. Redding doesn't have a petite candy shop.. Even the air smelled different, it was different but I love a change.
