The world has been devastated with a fungus that has killed most of the world. Siblings Ariel and Xavier, and brothers Oliver and Taylor are some of the few lucky (or unlucky, depending on the view) to be still living. They have lost their parents and only have each other. Even with a cure, how will humanity survive? And how will Ariel survive when she finds out that her brother had betrayed her more than ever?
