Rising through demise

I love Maya Angelou and her poem Still I Rise and I felt a heavy burden on my heart so I chose to lift it using Still I Rise as an inspiration to write this poem. It's a little rough around the edges, but my best friend said she liked it, so I thought I'd give you guys a try. Let's hope she didn't lie ;)
