The world has been thrown into chaos. An unknown virus has spread at a slow, but steady rate, barely skimming under the radar of the humans. No one knows where or how it came to be. All we know is that it is deadly, lethal, and a threat to humanity. It is nothing like the typical virus that injects its genetic information to cause the host to fall into a state of illness. It possesses, consumes, and mutilates the host-all without any symptoms to warn that he or she has been infected by this virus. These people who have been infected morph into beings that are far from human-without any emotions, senses, or thoughts. At this point, they are completely, and utterly controlled by this virus-this virus that has come to be known as ZX-8. As of now, we do not know how to exterminate the source. All we know, is how to contain it, and that is by killing the ex-humans possessed by ZX-8, of whom we know label as zombies. However, there is a catch. These zombies can only be stopped by obsidian infused weapons, of which are becoming rarer as all known volcanoes have been dormant for many, many years. Scientists all over the world have begun actively searching for other ways to suppress this pandemic. Many have failed and given up, with only the single light of hope for success in Schaff's Science and Experimentation Lab. Dr. Van Der Schaff, one of the most intelligent mad scientists ever to have lived, has found a solution. The only problem is how. How to achieve this solution. As many know, you must fight fire with fire. But what is this "fire" that can fight the deadly virus that has taken so many lives?
