Once upon a time, Alyssa lived a very happy, normal life.
But enough with the fairy tails, that only lasted for eight years.
Alyssa's mother beats her. She has been beating Alyssa for five years now, behind her father's back.
Then one day it all comes crashing down (literally)
And leaves Alyssa in a wheelchair for life and her Mother in jail for 15 years...
Alyssa moves to South Carolina, where she meets four other girls, nonjudging, happy to be friends, girls.
