Prologue.

I always thought that men and boys were never nice. In my experience at least. My brothers would hit me.

My dad was always drunk. My mother left us so she couldn't do anything. The boys at school were always mean and hated me.

So as soon as I turned 18, I snuck out of the house and used savings to go to Australia.

I am doing pretty good. I work at the local library and it actually pays good in my situation. I only have a small apartment and I only gave to buy food for me.

I still don't like the male species though. They scare me tremendously.

Until one day I found an amazing letter of hope.

And it was written by a boy.
