The year is 147. 147 years after most of the power went out. Getting your hands on some is hard. Immigration is growing like crazy. People are moving everywhere but America. That's where it all blew up. The population has dropped so quickly it's scary. Where I live, we have races, specialized races to determine who gets to be a Courier. They carry scrolls across the face of the Earth to other governments. We're like mobile e-mails. But like I said, those don't exist anymore.
