When photographic restoration specialist Aubrielle "Brie" Sloane is hired to preserve Michael Jackson's private archive, she expects damaged negatives, impossible standards and strict professional boundaries. She does not expect late-night editing sessions, disastrous disguises, an army of digitally cloned teacups or the guarded man behind the famous photographs.

As Brie restores the moments the world never saw, Michael begins to wonder whether she might see him clearly too. But when every image can be cropped, altered or sold, trust may be the most difficult thing to bring into focus.

What happens when a man who has spent his life being watched finally meets a woman who knows how to look without taking?
