Chapter 1- Mr Matterson

When Oliver finds an old magician's hat, he has no idea it will lead him to Mr Matterson, a retired magician who hasn't performed in years.
Mr Matterson is convinced his magic is a disaster. His tricks go wrong, his props rarely behave, and nothing ever seems to happen quite as planned.
But Oliver sees something Mr Matterson doesn't.
The tricks might not be perfect, but they're funny, wonderful and completely unforgettable.
As an unlikely friendship grows between them, Oliver becomes determined to convince Mr Matterson to perform just one more trick.
Because sometimes the best kind of magic isn't perfect at all.
