The plot is about Spider-Man losing his sense of self due to the Venom Symbiote manipulating him to act upon his darker nature, making him more brutal, ruthless, less composed, and prone to violence.

This makes him dangerous and dogmatic. Other heroes won't be able to help him due to them being preoccupied with their own separate duties. This will lead The Dark Knight himself, Batman to deal with this issue and help the fellow hero.
