Chapter 1

His eyes softened, "Alexis," He said as he moved closer, "Please..."
Now only inches away, he put his hand on my shoulder, towering over me.
I flinched at his touch, "I can't." I choked, trying to hide the pain I felt when I was with him.
He must have read my expression seeing that his eyes flickered with regret.
"I love you, please." He pleaded.
He slowly leaned in, and I let him, our lips almost touching. The tension grew heavy as he stopped, hesitantly leaving my quivering lips.
"I'm sorry..." He whispered, and he was gone.

He has always been by my side, telling me not to let it get to me. He tells me everything will be alright, but what if it won't? What if something happens it him?
