Description
Chronic suicidality is a mystery for many. But for people who experience this symptom as part of a mental illness like bipolar disorder or major depression, the ongoing pain and guilt are all too familiar. In this little book of frequently asked questions, I openly share my lived experience with bipolar disorder and suicidal ideation. By sharing our stories, suicide attempt survivors are breaking the silence. We are revealing our innermost pain to help others see that kindness and a willingness to talk and listen can be life-saving. We want to help suicidal people find compassion, understanding, and help before they reach the point of crisis. If we start the conversation early enough, I believe we can save lives. Let's keep talking.
