Vinnie Monarch lives in a world where humans are aware that vampires and werewolves exist along with other supernatural creatures. To escape the constant bullying and unanswered questions, she gets invited to a party and decides she should go. Once there, Vinnie realizes it's no ordinary party but a mate party where people find out who their mate is. When she starts to leave, she bumps into someone and spills a drink all over his shirt. That someone just happened to be a vampire. And her mate.

As things heat up in Vinnie's life, her friends also go through a challenging and changing time of their own. With all of their paths crossing, things begin to get dangerous and the friends soon find themselves in trouble.
