Mia Jacobs, 16 years old, is a girl from Memphis running away from the foster system after going through rough times over and over again. She's known how to handle things herself from the time she was very young. She never let's adults or anyone for that matter try to be a part of her life due to being broken too many times before. Meanwhile, Carrie and Mike are the happy couple blessed with a beautiful six year old daughter, Charlotte. No one wants to get in the middle of when these two polar opposite lives collide.
