Eliza Johnson has a good life. She has great friends, a nurturing mom, and is smart enough that she could have graduated MIT by the age of 16.

But then, disaster strikes.

In a devastating turn of events, Eliza's home is burnt to a crisp, and her mother doesn't survive. And now? Now, she has to go and live with her father, whom she's never met.
