Prologue

(Yes, the title is based off the Mary Lambert song.)

Marie has always lived in a not-so-accepting town her entire life. She went along with the crowd when everyone found out that Leah King was lesbian. Everyone, including Marie, made Leah the most hated person in town. She always tried to stay away from Leah. As fate would have it, she is assigned to have Leah as her partner for her entire senior year. With Marie as the popular girl and Leah as the school outcast, the two make an unlikely pairing. But differences can make two people come together in ways they didn't even imagine.
