PROLOGUE

I liked him for EIGHT years.
EIGHT years of waiting, wondering, and wishing he'd notice me.
When I finally confessed, he smiled - and just like that, I became his girl.

Three years. That's how long our "forever" lasted.
We were young, in love, and stupid enough to think nothing could break us.
But one misunderstanding changed everything.
I tried to fix it... he didn't.
Or maybe, he just didn't know how.

Now, years later, I thought I'd moved on.
College was supposed to be my new beginning - no more him, no more heartbreak.
But destiny? It has a funny way of bringing back the one person you swore you were done with.
