First Day Nic's Point of View

Aislin lives in a palace. Two older brothers and a more or less perfect mother and father. Her family rules over Malex, a small country where rebels cunningly scheme and commoners live a relatively happy life. Nic lives in something similar to a ditch. All his life he's been bossed around, looked at in disdain, or even spat at. Finally, after years of work, sweat, and tears, he gets to go to the palace. As a servant at least. Little does he know, Princess Aislin awaits, where their fates will intertwine and sew their hearts together.
