In the ruins of a place once know as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol that is surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing all of them to send five boys and five girls between the ages of 17 and 23 to participate in the annual Band and Music Game, where you fight to the death until there is one tribute still standing, on live TV. sixteen-years-old Louis Tomlinson regards it as a death sentence when he steps up to take his sister's place in the Games. But Louis has be close to dead before -and survival, for his, is second nature. Without meaning to, he becomes a contender.
