What would you do if the man you loved changed for the worse? I couldn't remember the last time I had wanted to be around my family. My mum and dad had past away when I was 5 years old, attacked when they were on a camping trip. My grandma took me in after that. She took me to kick-boxing class every Saturday. My grandma was the feistiest woman around. She didn't take shit from anyone. She passed away five years ago from cancer. I had been with my boyfriend for over seven years, a high school romance and he took me in. We now lived in a house together with our daughter, Izzy and my dog, Keeko. I thought nothing could ruin my happiness, but Colton's parents divorced. He then turned to drink. The drink made him angry. The first time he slapped me, was the day I knew I had made a mistake.
