She poses as Dumbledore's niece, because in a past life, she was a person who knew Tom Riddle very well. Her name, back then, was Alvina Shafiq, a pure-blooded line that has become extinct since then. The year 1991 is her first year at Hogwarts, which she will be attending with the one and only Harry Potter. Because of this fact, there is little to no chance of her being able to avoid Lord Voldemort, as one of her greatest mistakes was telling him of her ability to reincarnate. As she goes through her years at Hogwarts, she has several close calls, but always manages to survive. The real question is whether or not she'll live when all is said and done.
