Before June 17th, all Zoe ever did was shy away at school, let herself be mocked by the popular girls and throw herself into her studies. That ended as soon as they set foot on school grounds, entering her life and everyone else's. At first they were people, horrible and incredibly dangerous, but definitely human in Zoe's eyes. Then she was pushed up against a wall and had something sharp pierce into her neck and she realized, they weren't so human anymore. The worst part of it all was that there was no going back.
