Boomchat "Boom" Viriyaphan had always believed he controlled his world. Wealth, influence, security-everything was predictable, calculable. He had never believed in ghosts, curses, or the tales of spirits that roamed the forgotten alleys of the city. Until the night the whisper came. Aouphan "Aou" Jirawat had seen things that could not be explained. Flickering shadows at the edge of vision, a presence pressing down on his chest, whispers in languages he did not know. He thought he had buried it in childhood, dismissed it as imagination. But some things do not remain buried. Some things wait. It began subtly. A sound behind a locked door, a shadow in the corner of a room that shifted when looked at directly, a chill that crawled beneath the skin. Boom noticed it first in the penthouse they shared-a soft tapping, almost deliberate, as if the building itself were breathing. Then came the whispers. Low, guttural, calling names that were not theirs. Words that promised hunger, longing, and control. The air grew thick, heavier than any night air should be, and it pressed down upon their lungs. Boom and Aou were not strangers to fear. But this... this was different. The presence was intelligent, patient, and relentless.
