Pearl Ophelia Williams, a young woman at the age of eighteen lives in Cousin, Massachusetts all of her life. A dutiful, rich daughter of the CEO of a law firm in New York City, spending her last summer making choices and liberation before following her parents' footsteps to Harvard. Anticipated every summer when her parents travel out of town to work on their cases, giving her a chance to get out of the haunted house and share time with Fisher and Conklin families.

Her plans go astray while battling on a choice she has to make before she runs out of time. Whether to follow her duty to be in an arranged relationship with a self-made millionaire or follow her heart to be with a boy next door.
