Introduction

Ari is lost when her dad (and best friend) dies before her eyes. She turns to drugs, alcohol, and boys as coping mechanisms. When she gets kicked out of school, her distant mother insists she spends the summer with her hippie aunt in South Carolina. Refusing to abandon her contempt and rebellion, Ari decides she won't let the "vacation" affect her. But nothing about her life has gone according to plan, has it? What kind of adventure does the south hold for Ari?
