The world of Remnant. A world, once filled with vibrant life and balance, is now a shell of its former self due to the hypocrisy and foolishness of the Two Brothers, who incompetently left the world's fate to two once sworn "immortal" lovers, now mortal nemesis. But before the time Remnant had received its Gods, a third party, neither mortal nor god, arrived at the once repugnant planet first to begin its planetary-scale terraformation process with a vessel from another Universe.

Thousands upon thousands of years later, a genderless individual by the name of Vex Nolivar applies to Beacon Academy for the sole purpose of an education, whether by sheer boredom, curiosity, or a different form of reason. Either way, they're not doing this to assist Ozpin or go against Salem, and they'll make sure it stays that way, even if they have to outperform, outlogic, or outreason both parties that they are not here to take sides, at all costs, no matter their history with them.
